Tintype Workshop
We do not have set dates for workshops. Once you purchase the workshop, we will be in touch to find a date that works**
In this 6 hour workshop you will learn everything you need to know to be able to shoot your own tintypes!
This workshop can accommodate up to 3 people maximum. Smaller groups are better because you get more 1 on 1 and shooting time.
No prior knowledge of photography is needed for this workshop! Any skill level is more than welcome to come and learn about this process. We will start from the top starting with safety, wet plate gear, chemicals, cameras, lenses, and finally making some tintypes! We will also go over trouble shooting issues with this process. This is a huge deal for anyone looking to get into this process. Workshops eliminate a ton of user errors and allow for you to jump in and skip all the mistakes (that I made).
I will provide all of the chemicals, cameras, and plates for the tintype process.
Depending on group size you can expect to shoot anywhere from 3-5 tintypes. This is meant to be a super hands on workshop!
You have the choice to shoot still life or portraits, or if you are doing a 1 on 1 workshop and want to bring a model with you, feel free! I have some stuff in the studio like flowers, skulls, and cameras we can use for still life.
A $50 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit is required for all workshops. this will go towards chemicals and plates.
